I hope that as you prepare to graduate and reflect proudly on the knowledge and skills you have cultivated during your time here, you will also show your appreciation to your loved ones and people who have encouraged and supported you throughout your journey.

Your experiences within and beyond the classroom have equipped you with a strong foundation for the future. Embrace the challenges that await you with confidence, knowing that you are well-prepared to tackle them head-on.

While you are eager to embark on your chosen career path, remember to explore your passions and interests along the way. Seek out opportunities that push your boundaries and foster both professional and personal growth. Stay curious, adaptable, and committed to lifelong learning. The world evolves rapidly, and staying informed and connected is key. Lean on your fellow graduates and the extensive SMU alumni network for support and guidance as you navigate your post-graduation journey.

As you consider your continued education and development, remember that SMU is here for you every step of the way. Whether through our postgraduate, professional, or research programmes, SMU Executive Development, or SMU Academy, we are committed to supporting your ongoing growth and success.

Each year our students give back to SMU in greater numbers. Following the tradition set by the pioneer cohort, the Class of 2024 has established a Graduating Class Gift.
